Nova Institute of Technical Training and Research

NITTR’s training model rests on three connected stages: classroom instruction kept to what is genuinely needed, hands-on workshop practice, and exposure to a real workplace or enterprise before graduation. Mentorship, basic life skills and support in finding work or starting a small business run alongside the technical content throughout the course, not tacked on at the end. Internally, staff refer to this as the “training-plus” model. It reflects two things: skills training on its own rarely changes a household’s income unless it is connected to a market, and many NITTR trainees are also dealing with displacement, loss or economic pressure that a purely technical course will not touch.
